Qld: Brutal triple murder accused will face court in Toowoomba

A Queensland court has been told a teenager will stand trial next year over a brutal
triple murder in the state's south.

Two other teenagers .. who can't be named .. have already pleaded guilty to three brutal
home invasion style murders in Toowoomba .. west of Brisbane .. on May 30 last year.

30-year-old MICHAEL ROSS THOMPSON and 17-year-olds TYSON ROBERT WILSON and DAVID JAMES
LYONS were allegedly bashed to death in their Hume Street unit .. with various weapons
including a metal pole.

A 17-year-old male from Rockhampton in central Queensland has pleaded guilty to three
counts of murder and two of rape.

In the Supreme Court in Brisbane today .. Justice DEBRA MULLINS has ordered a pre-sentence
report for a 16-year-old from Toowoomba .. who's pleaded guilty to three counts of murder
and interfering with bodies.

An 18-year-old Rockhampton man will plead not guilty and will face trial in the Supreme
Court in Toowoomba .. starting on February 19.
