Qld: Businessman kidnapped and threatened, say police
A Brisbane businessman has been kidnapped and tortured by two men allegedly posing
as federal police during a four hour ordeal on Brisbane's southside.
The 58-year-old man escaped after untying himself from a chair bolted to the floor.
Network Seven says the crime happened in the southside suburb of Annerley yesterday
and found two sound-proofed rooms.
The victim was snatched in the car park of the Pacific Golf Course at Carindale yesterday
afternoon by two men and a woman allegedly posing as federal police officers.
The victim was handcuffed and bundled into a white van and then driven to the house
in Annerley where the trio allegedly demanded money from him.
A 59-year-old man from Annerley has been charged over the kidnap and is due to appear
in Brisbane magistrates court tomorrow.
