NSW: Elderly woman hit and killled by 4WD
An elderly woman has been killed after being hit by a four-wheel-drive in southern Sydney.
The 72-year-old woman was crossing President Avenue in Caringbah yesterday afternoonat a pedestrian crossing with traffic lights when she was hit by a Toyota Hilux with abullbar.
Police say the 26-year-old driver of the 4WD pulled over and tried to help the womanbut she died in St Georges Hospital later that day.
