Tesco's dominance in Aylesbury revealed in new survey.

Nearly 60 per cent of people do their main food shopping at Tesco's stores in the town or use the supermarket's online service, netting the company an estimated A[pounds sterling]82million in turnover.

The telephone survey of 705 local people was commissioned by WYG Planning and Design in support of ASDA's application to build a store at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

Their report reveals that Tesco Tring Road is the most popular store in Aylesbury, with a 33.2 per cent market share, followed by Tesco Broadfields (22.2 per cent), Morrisons (13.8 per cent) and Sainsbury's (10.6 per cent).
